How to recognize a genuinely free deal

AppDrop tracks two main types of promotions. Paid-to-free means an app that normally costs money temporarily drops to 0 in the App Store. A lifetime promotion is different: the base app may already be free, while the developer temporarily offers permanent premium unlocking without a monthly or yearly subscription. That is why we label each deal by what is actually free instead of simply repeating a marketing headline.

Why we check Serbia and the USA

The App Store is not identical in every country. Price, currency, app availability and some in-app purchases can vary by region. That is why we specifically check Serbia, while the USA is our second key storefront because many promotions first appear there. If Apple shows a price above 0 on your account, do not confirm the purchase even if a deal is described online as free.
