Why deals expire
App Store promotions rarely last long. A developer can drop the price to 0 for a few hours or days and then restore the regular price without notice. That is why every AppDrop deal shows when it was last checked, and when Apple shows a price above 0 or a check does not succeed in time, the offer moves to the archive.
A deal being here does not mean the app is gone. Often the regular price simply returned, and developers sometimes repeat the same promotions. That is why it is worth saving the app or enabling alerts.
Is an archived deal still free?
We cannot guarantee it. Open the app page and check the price in the App Store: if Apple shows 0, the promotion is active again. Do not confirm a purchase if the price is above 0, whatever old posts or social media say.
