Apple presented its 2026 Designers of Tomorrow showcase on October 20 in collaboration with Design Miami. Curated by Rodman Primack, this year's exhibition explores the theme of presence: how designed objects can invite people to pay attention to their surroundings and everyday experiences.
The exhibition at Hôtel de Maisons in Paris features Salem S. Charabi, Isabel Rower, Yoonjeong Lee, and Parafernalia, the studio founded by Genki Matsumura and Sebastián Zorrilla. Each participant brings a distinct approach to materials and physical space.
Charabi used a MacBook Pro for sketches and 3D modeling while developing The Emergence of Light, a lantern made with natural materials. Rower describes using an iPhone to capture ideas and document her work, along with a MacBook Pro for her visual archive. Lee relies on iPad Pro and Apple Pencil for sketches, while iCloud, AirDrop, and Notes help connect her workflow.
Parafernalia uses iPhone, iPad Pro, FaceTime, and Procreate to collaborate across locations. Its project MonoAmbiente 1 transforms from a closed metal structure into a shared space with seating and a table.
This is a design exhibition, not an announcement of a new Apple device or an App Store discount. Its practical interest lies in showing how creative professionals combine digital sketching, modeling, documentation, and remote collaboration. Apple's original Newsroom article includes images and further details about the projects.
